Let me say right at the beginning—we are a fortunate nation! In this vast world, so many people are lost and confused. But us? We know exactly whom to follow, what words to echo, whom to praise! Absolutely clear. Leaders will come, leaders will go, but our attitude remains unwavering—we are accustomed.
A new era has just begun. Everything is fresh, new thoughts, new strategies. Wonderful! Forget everything the previous leaders said—now we must tune into the words of this new illustrious leader. He proclaims, "This time, we are on the right path." We close our eyes and respond, "Yes, indeed, we must go!" Judging which path is correct is not our concern. He who will dictate it is our guide.
Just a while back, we would hear, "The economy is shining like gold." Shining? Absolutely. Maybe the neighborhood stores are overflowing with gold for sale! Now, a new leader has arrived, declaring, "No, it’s not the economy; it’s time for social reform!" Ah, precisely. Our society needs reform—provided we can talk about culture without worrying about poverty, education, or healthcare.
The middle class is in heavenly bliss! Just fold your hands and sit tight, for with every change of leadership, new policies will flood in—why worry about bread and butter? But beware, asking questions is a dangerous game. “Who are you to question? Don’t you know your leader's words are the ultimate truth?” We immediately say, “Oh, forgive us, great leader! Accustomed as we are, we will adapt to the new truth before the next leader arrives.”
Lately, neighborhood gatherings aren't like they used to be. “Brother, the government is doing just fine. Isn’t your situation improving? Remember, they are working for us!” Years of witnessing our "progress" have made our eyes numb. Education, healthcare, good governance—perhaps just dreams for us. But still, we live in bliss, for we are always treated to fresh narratives.
So, there’s no need to worry about the future of this nation. We know, no matter which leader takes the helm, there’s only one rule to survival: “We are accustomed.”
